Beginning with the new CYBERsitter BLACK Version 3, your device will be updated automatically without any user intervention required.

Blocklists are automatically updated once per week. We occasionally add new blocklists, and when we do, your CSB blocklist catalog will be updated automatically. All you need to do is enable new blocklists if desired.

We update most blocklists once twice per week on our end unless something major needs to be addressed. The exception is the Adult Content blocklist. Updating the Adult list is long process usually taking 2-3 days. We only update the adult list when we have enough new content to add to justify the resources. Additionally, adult oriented websites are so well entrenched that we already know about 99.9% of them. You may notice periods of time where the Adult list has not updated for a week or two, This is normal.

Firmware is also now upgraded automatically on an incremental basis. The concept of a manual “Firmware Upgrade” is gone forever. We can now update any portion of the system at any time. It might be as simple as a spelling correction, or as complicated as a full function replacement. You will always have an up-to-date device and you won't even notice when it happens. Your CSB device will automatically check for, and download updates every night.

Updates and upgrades are completely free for as long as you use the device.
